Job Description

 

  • Collection of cash and cheques from Front office, Pharmacy, Retina clinic etc. and verification with reference to the scrolls and copies of bills
  • Banking out door activities (remittance of cash, cheques and drafts and withdrawal of cash)
  • Maintenance of Main Cash Book, Register of Valuables, Cheque Register and other related records
  • Maintenance of petty cash book and vouchers
  • Finalisation of monthly and Annual Accounts
  • Preparation of Salary Bills and disbursement of salary and other personal claims of doctors and staff members
  • Checking of Bills relating to purchases, maintenance of Day Book and writing payment cheques
  • Keeping copies of receipt bills, scrolls, vouchers, receipts, paid invoices etc.
  • Processing of Debtors book and registers
  • Matters relating to CSF, WDF
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • All matters relating to collection, remittance and filing of returns of Income Tax, Sales tax, EPF, ESI, LIC Gratuity, Profession Tax, Service tax etc.
  • Purchase and distribution of uniform clothes
  • Liaison with Chartered Accountant and offices/institutions like Income Tax Office, Salestax Office, Labour Office, EPF Office, ESI Corporation, LIC, Banks etc.
  • Processing of credit bills and preferring claims relating to ECHS, VSSC, CGHS and various autonomous bodies and insurance companies
  • Ensuring that amounts due to the hospital are received and accounted for promptly and that the amounts due to others are paid without any undue delay
  • Preparation of Creditors Ledger
  • Furnish the details required by Auditors and other agencies regarding statutory/legal compliance
  • Timely payment of taxes, licences and other fees

The employees should have good interpersonal and professional relationship with colleagues, superiors, Para medical staff and doctors.

Job Description

  

Core responsibilities

 

  • Monitor, supervise  and co-ordinate patient flow in the assigned floor(s)
  • Crowd management in all patient waiting areas
  • Co-ordinate clinical and non-clinical works in the assigned floor(s)
  • Interact politely with patients/visitors and attend to all patient complaints and solve them timely
  • Co-ordinate all support services like housekeeping, bio medical, electrical, security services etc. to assist patients’ needs
  • Ensure staff strength in each department before the morning shift starts
  • Supervise the housekeeping activity in the assigned floor(s)
  • Co-ordinate patient receiving and admission for all in-patients
  • Co-ordinate discharge activities and billing

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist the various committees in maintaining ISO and NABH standards and quality improvement activities
