Job Description

       

§  Provide the information asked for by the patients/bystanders accurately and quickly in a courteous manner and explain matters like availability, choice  etc of doctors for consultation, method of booking the appointment, payment of consultation fee, method of registration, etc

§  In case the customer is trying to seek information through telephone, give the guidance correctly and to his/her satisfaction. In case the information required is to be checked or verified, the caller’s name and phone number should be obtained, promising to call back and promptly furnished.

§  Give appointment booking, maintain necessary records for appointment with information like patient name, MR number, consulting doctors’ name, date, time etc.

§  Issue OP cards to the patients after collecting the requisite registration fee.

§  Retrieve the Medical Records of patients who had already registered previously

§  Prepare bill and ensure that the cash collected is handed over to Accounts section along with the scrolls.

§  Prepare credit bills for patients covered by ECHS, CGHS, VSSC, Insurance etc.

§   To ensure complete security of the hospital buildings, their premises, assets during night time. This should be achieved by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry etc.;

§  To ensure that lights, fans and other electrical equipments in unoccupied places of the hospital are switched off;

§  To prevent wastage of water by conducting frequent inspection of the various parts of the hospital during night;

§  To prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators about policy and procedures; restraining trespassers;

§  To report significant security incidents to the Management and to the concerned people;

§  To help the night duty staff in their activities including retrieval/replacement of patient files in Medical Records Department, AC operation etc., if necessary;

§  To enquire about the general convenience of the inpatients who are occupying hospital rooms and try to solve minor problems if possible;

§  To ensure that the inpatients and/or bystanders do not resort to unlawful activities like consuming intoxicating liquors, smoking etc. during their stay in the hospital rooms;

§  Theft control and investigation;

§  To maintain records required for noting observations, information, occurrences, surveillance activities and interviewing witnesses;

§  Any other duty assigned by the higher authorities for the smooth functioning of the hospital.

Skills and Qualities:

The Night supervisor should have surveillance skills, ability to handle emergency situations, integrity and reporting skills.

 

Working Relationship

The employees should have good interpersonal and professional relationship with colleagues, superiors, Para medical staff and doctors.

Patient Relation Executive/ Floor Manager

Job Description

  

Core responsibilities

 

  • Monitor, supervise  and co-ordinate patient flow in the assigned floor(s)
  • Crowd management in all patient waiting areas
  • Co-ordinate clinical and non-clinical works in the assigned floor(s)
  • Interact politely with patients/visitors and attend to all patient complaints and solve them timely
  • Co-ordinate all support services like housekeeping, bio medical, electrical, security services etc. to assist patients’ needs
  • Ensure staff strength in each department before the morning shift starts
  • Supervise the housekeeping activity in the assigned floor(s)
  • Co-ordinate patient receiving and admission for all in-patients
  • Co-ordinate discharge activities and billing

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist the various committees in maintaining ISO and NABH standards and quality improvement activities

 

Working Relationship
